This is so hard to write. Seriously, I’ve started five drafts already, only to stop midway each time. Nothing I write seems complete, almost as if I’m doing an injustice to my college experience because I can’t possibly sum up the best four years of my life in one column.
“UCLA Memes for Sick AF Tweens” is known for its commentary on campus events, and the Skirball fire proved to be no exception. While some students took to drafting petitions and posting angry status updates to voice their concerns over how UCLA handled the situation, others turned to the Facebook community to comment on the fire.
As the year comes to a close, many graduating seniors have memories they’ll hold onto for years to come. The joy of realizing it’s chipotle chicken bowl day at Bruin Plate; the misery of sleepless nights in Powell Library during 10th week; and maybe even going on Facebook and reading through UCLA Secrets posts every day.
I’m a broke college student. Yes, I know, you are too. My broke self always debates whether or not to spend money on a $5 Uber or whether I should be nice enough to tip the pizza delivery guy $3 (usually I end up doing neither, but that’s beside the point).
The Daily Bruin is UCLA’s independent student newspaper. We aim to serve the student body as accurately and effectively as we can by providing the community with important news updates, including covering Undergraduate Students Association Council elections and last fall’s post-national election protests.
As my postmidterm self sits here bingewatching the last episode of “13 Reasons Why,” I can’t help but feel conflicted. For those of you that aren’t familiar with the show, its storyline revolves around Hannah Baker, a high schooler who commits suicide.

Looking for a Native American individual to spend time with my 6-year-old daughter twice a week for 2-3 hours. Activities can include talking, playing, and engaging in fun, interactive experiences. She is growing up in a Russian-speaking household and currently attends kindergarten, where she speaks English. However, she needs more practice since Russian is the primary language spoken at home. If you’re interested or know someone who might be a good fit, please reach out! Txt Natalia 310-562-0010
