The North Westwood Neighborhood Council endorsed a letter condemning the announced closure of UCLA’s childcare centers at its September meeting.
The council, which represents UCLA and Westwood Village, meets on the first Wednesday of every month at UCLA’s Weyburn Terrace.

UCPD arrested a man for indecent exposure near the Luskin School of Public Affairs building Wednesday.
The man was non-compliant with sex offender registration requirements, said Jeffrey Chobanian, the captain of UCPD’s operations bureau, in an emailed statement. 
He added in the statement that the man had a felony arrest warrant with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for a weapons violation.

UCPD is investigating an alleged sexual battery in Olympic Hall that occurred Monday.
The incident occurred inside the victim’s dorm room at midnight Monday, according to a Thursday UCPD Clery Timely Warning.
