Angelenos protest across the city in support of Black Lives Matter

As the school year comes to an end, Daily Bruin photographers elaborate on their most memorable times on assignment this year, from fires and protests to concerts and sporting events.

In a protest organized by the Black Graduate Student Association and Afrikan Student Union, demonstrators filled Dickson Plaza and marched in front of UCPD headquarters to convey grievances against police brutality and racial injustice in the first organized march on UCLA’s campus since the death of George Floyd.

Despite the cancellation of the event, protesters gathered at the intersection of Veteran Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard to demonstrate against police brutality.

The Bruins (8-9, 1-3 Pac-12) were unable to keep pace in the second half against the Cardinal (15-2, 4-0), ultimately losing 74-59.

The Bruins hosted the Broncos in Pauley Pavilion and earned the first 10 of the season.

The Bruins fell to the Trojans 74-63 in Pauley Pavilion on Saturday night after trailing behind for the majority of the game.

Despite scoring within the first five minutes of the game, the Bruins fell behind and lost to the No 23 Trojans 52-35.

The Bruins defeated the Thunderbirds 76-61 on Monday night after a strong defensive start.
