The dichotomy between the arts and the sciences goes back further than their designation as North and South Campus majors, but for Garrett Johnson, that division isn’t as extreme.

Doing a Wikipedia search for the Stripminers brings up no results related to the slick rock group led by Brett Anderson (of the Donnas) and Paul Stinson (of the Radishes). That is really a shame too, because more people should get to know about the band’s terrific sound.
The band’s full-length debut album “Movies” features plenty of slow rock jams as well as a good mix of more punk-driven tracks and even some alt-country-influenced songs.
The Game Lab is a single room in the Broad Art Center littered with half-finished game components, lined with computer monitors and occupied by a select handful of dedicated game developers at any one time. A lot of magic happens in this room.
Spose opens his third full-length album with a seemingly existential rap about his belief (or lack thereof) in God. It’s an incredibly personal opening to a song and sets a tone for an album that deals with a lot of the artist’s personal matters.
Plenty of students enjoy taking a break from college work and relaxing by playing fun social games such as online poker or “Words with Friends.” But what if students’ skills in those games could help pay for their tuition?

Game players come in every shape and size, and in today’s world of smartphones and Facebook gaming, it’s getting harder to find someone that doesn’t play games, even casually.
The cover for Balkan Beat Box’s newest album, “Give,” features a subtle visual portmanteau of a megaphone and an assault rifle. It’s an image that takes a little while to sink in, but it ultimately fits the sound of the album very well.
