Thursdays this summer, the usually demure UCLA Hammer Museum courtyard will be transformed into a full-fledged concert venue, complete with DJs spinning, fans sweating and, of course, emerging L.A. rock stars.

As Auni stepped on the Spring Sing stage, the energy of the 8,000-person crowd made her excited about her future as a performer.

Student rock bands at UCLA are few and far between, and it isn’t very often that you hear about a campus party featuring live music. But members of one of UCLA’s active student bands ““ Pangolin ““ are working to change that. With their funk rock sound, Pangolin is bringing a new variety of live entertainment to UCLA students.

For the bands competing at this year’s Spring Sing, the definition of a great performance goes well beyond just getting up on stage and playing a song.
