The University of California Regents, the governing body of the UC, met Wednesday for its bimonthly board meeting at UC San Francisco. Regents discussed the results of federal and state elections, the board’s dedication to inclusion and diversity and addressing misconduct by regents done outside University business.
Chancellor Gene Block meets with the Daily Bruin editorial board every quarter to discuss issues affecting campus and to explain administrative policies. At their meeting Wednesday, Block and Monroe Gorden, Jr., interim vice chancellor of student affairs, spoke about the election, campus safety and mental health resources on campus, among other topics.
Chancellor Gene Block’s mythical office hour is widely accepted as real despite the relatively little evidence to actually support its existence.
Intrigued by this absence of proof, the Daily Bruin took a trip to the Chancellor’s office last week to see what exactly transpires at the office hour.
