During the much needed week of relaxation know as spring break, the tens of thousands of students who call themselves Bruins vary widely on what constitutes the perfect spring break.
“Watchmen” is not a superhero movie.
In a genre dominated by heroes’ hubris, fast-paced action sequences, socialized superpowers and a ubiquitous line between good and evil, the film, though faithfully drawn from a series of 12 comic books, simply does not fit the mold.
1. Portishead ““ “Third”
To call this record mature would be to (falsely) imply the immaturity of Portishead’s earlier works. Nevertheless, the trip-hop staple’s first output in 11 years finds the band commendably more restrained and less glitchy, letting its tribal, minor-key ballads form a dusky playground for vocalist Beth Gibbons’ haunting flirtation with time and key.
