The Daily Bruin received third place awards for best newspaper and best website in the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence regional awards.
At Saturday’s awards luncheon in Las Vegas, The Bruin earned awards in eight categories, half of which recognized online reporting work.

The UCLA Graduate Students Association is the voice of graduate students on campus. The association meets for forum every three weeks and takes positions on current issues affecting graduate students. Forum meetings are at 5:30 p.m. in the Ackerman Viewpoint Lounge.
