UCPD is investigating four reported burglaries, attempted burglaries and thefts at Boelter Hall between Oct. 10 and Tuesday.

The department was notified of the first incident Oct. 13, according to the UCPD crime and fire log. Separate burglary reports were filed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, according to the log.

UCPD has not arrested any suspects as of Wednesday afternoon, according to a Clery Timely Warning.

The reported losses are computers and related technology, said Richard Mejia, the director of emergency communications for the Office of Campus and Community Safety, in an emailed statement.

There is no known threat to the UCLA community, Mejia said in the statement. He added that UCPD will provide additional resources and patrol the area as additional preventative measures.

“At this time, it is unknown whether these incidents are connected,” Mejia said in the statement. “The suspect(s) remain outstanding, and their identities and any potential university affiliations have not been confirmed.”

The department shared safety tips in the alert, including a reminder to close and lock doors, windows and desks. UCPD also encouraged community members to inform the department if they have information that could assist its investigation.

“UCPD reminds the campus community to secure doors, windows and valuables; avoid allowing unauthorized individuals into secured buildings; and promptly report suspicious activity or malfunctioning locks,” Mejia said in the statement.
