“THE AMERICAS” (Yves)

Come May 8, attendees of Yves’ concert will declare nothing can “be better than tonight.”

Yves, a K-pop artist formerly of the girl group LOONA, is coming to Alex Theatre in Glendale for the second stop of her “THE AMERICAS” tour. With tickets starting at about $50, the tour will kick off May 5 and conclude June 7, featuring stops across North and South America. Ahead of the tour, Yves will release her fourth EP “NAIL” on April 17.

Since her solo debut with “LOOP” in May 2024, Yves has become known for her innovative sound – incorporating electropop and R&B elements – that strays from the conventions of idol music. Her discography includes the TikTok-viral “DIM” and a collaboration, “Soap,” with British singer-songwriter and producer PinkPantheress. Though the poster announcing the tour features a lively aesthetic with bright colors, the teasers for “NAIL” have a darker, grungier feel, inviting curiosity about the tour’s visual direction.

After a night of songs ranging from danceable to heartfelt and often both, fans will agree Yves “NAIL”-ed it.

“Whatever’s Clever! World Tour” (Charlie Puth)

Concertgoers looking for something clever ought to catch Charlie Puth.

The singer-songwriter will bring his “Whatever’s Clever! World Tour” to Inglewood’s Kia Forum on April 29, a week after the shows kick off in San Diego. The tour will continue until July as Puth trots across the continent and over to Europe in promotion of his fourth studio album – the aptly named “Whatever’s Clever!” – a 12-track set released March 27. The new LP features collaborations with R&B stars such as Coco Jones and Ravyn Lenae and includes pairings with other performers such as Kenny G and Jeff Goldblum.

“Whatever’s Clever!” might be Puth’s least successful album so far – missing the Billboard 200 Top 10, unlike his first three records – but still features the catchy songwriting and synth-driven production he is known for. Judging by his catalog of hits during the second half of the 2010s, Puth is likely to perform his portion of collaborations like “See You Again” and “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” as well as pop radio jingles such as “One Call Away” and “How Long.”

With tickets starting around $55, Puth’s power for pop hooks means audiences would benefit from giving him their “Attention.”

“Ultrasound” (Lorde)

This May, Lorde is coming back to Los Angeles.

The alt-pop sensation returns to Inglewood’s Kia Forum for the second round of “Ultrasound” world tour performances on May 14 and 15, around six months since her last LA show in October 2025. Norwegian electronic music duo Smerz and alt-pop artist Sophia Stel are set to open the shows, with tickets starting at $105.

After a well-received first leg of the “Ultrasound” world tour in 2025, its spring continuation speaks to the prevalence of Lorde and her fourth studio album “Virgin.” “Virgin” dropped last June, a return to the edgy, intense, alternative pop sound fans adore from the artist, and more like her sophomore, cult-classic, Grammy-nominated record “Melodrama” than past releases. On the “Ultrasound” World Tour, the singer leans into performance art, delivering a raw yet striking show each night on tour. With past performances featuring surprise on-stage appearances from Charli xcx in LA and Sadie Sink in London, fans are in for an experience nothing short of transcendental this spring.

When Lorde returns, her disciples follow.

We all scream for Florence + The Machine.

The English indie rock band will headline two shows at Inglewood’s Kia Forum on May 19 and 20 as part of their celebrated “Everybody Scream Tour.” Spanning North America and Europe, the tour accompanies the Grammy nominees’ sixth studio album of the same name and will run through Aug. 30. With support from rising rock group Mannequin Pussy, LA’s shows currently have tickets available for around $99.

Upon its October 2025 release, “Everybody Scream” debuted at the top of six Billboard album charts, including Top Rock and Alternative Albums. The 12-track record delves into themes of mysticism, pain and womanhood, drawn partially from band leader Florence Welch’s experience with a life-saving surgery during the band’s last tour in 2023. In addition to beloved songs from the LP, the concert’s setlist will also feature several of the group’s biggest hits, including the classic “Dog Days Are Over.”

With this much in store, Florence fans won’t need to be told to get loud at the Forum.

“The Freedom Tour” (Kesha)

For Los Angeles concertgoers, the party won’t start until Kesha walks in this May.

The singer known for her 2010s hits will stop at the Kia Forum on May 24 as part of “The Freedom Tour.” Though she already toured her 2025 album “Period” last year, Kesha will return – this time with tickets going for around $43. Released under her own record label, Kesha Records, Kesha’s most recent album marked her independence in the music industry. The album’s themes of self-love and confidence set the tone for the upcoming tour, which Kesha announced on Instagram, telling fans, “freedom looks good on you.”

Old and new fans alike can expect to enjoy “The Freedom Tour.” If last summer’s tour is any indication, Kesha’s setlist is expected to include old hits like “TiK ToK” and new songs from “Period” – making it worthwhile for all audience members. Canadian pair Chromeo will open for most of the tour’s performances, along with artists Meek, Erika Jayne and Sizzy Rocket.

While the tickets may not be free, fans certainly will be.
