LA County voters elect 5 LA Superior Court judges

Los Angeles County residents are in the process of electing five LA Superior Court judges.
George Turner Jr. is leading for Office No. 39 with 56.33% of the vote. Ericka Wiley is leading for Office No. 48 with 55.03%. Sharon Ransom is leading for Office No. 97 with 66.19%. Georgia Huerta is leading for Office No. 135 with 54.98%. Tracey Blount is leading for Office No. 137 with 57.64%.
Out of 10 candidates, the elected judges will serve a six-year term until 2030.
Turner Jr. and Wiley previously served as public defenders and were rated as “qualified” by the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Ransom and Huerta previously served as deputy district attorneys and were rated as “well-qualified” by LACBA. Blount previously served as senior deputy county counsel and was also rated as “well-qualified” by LACBA.

The newly elected judges will join over 400 judges overseeing LA County’s criminal and civil cases.
