Isabella Crone-Baron – a fourth-year history and public affairs student and the internal vice president of Bruin Democrats who helped organize the club’s watch party at Royce Hall – said turnout at the event was great, despite the common narrative that the youth are politically apathetic.
“People underestimate young people, especially during this time,” Crone-Baron said. “Everything we’re voting on right now and all the people we’re voting on right now has direct impact on our futures and on our existence.”
