Before any ghouls and goblins can emerge for Halloween, several concerts will entrance Los Angeles this fall.

From rising international stars to hit-making rock bands, with indie favorites and R&B songstresses in the mix, artists of many sounds and genres will be headlining some of LA’s most dynamic venues very soon.

Keep reading to find out which shows the Daily Bruin does not want to miss this spooky season.

“Buzz World Tour” (NIKI)

NIKI is coming to create some buzz in LA.

More than a year after her performance at the 2023 Head in the Clouds Festival, NIKI is returning to LA to perform at the Greek Theatre on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12. The Buzz World Tour follows the release of her third studio album of the same name in August. Visiting 41 cities across North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, the Indonesian singer-songwriter has embarked on her second international trip to perform for her fans, with ticket prices for her LA shows starting around $47 on Ticketmaster.

Known for songs such as “Take A Chance With Me” and “Oceans & Engines,” NIKI has written songs delving into the wide range of emotions associated with love, from one-sided crushes to post-breakup heartache. For the tracks of the “Buzz” album, the 25-year-old musician drew from her personal experiences living through her early 20s – both the joys and the sorrows – to write relatable lyrics that affirm listeners of the struggles of growing up. The “Buzz” concert setlist is expected to include songs from the latest album, as well as other popular releases such as “La La Lost You” and “Backburner.” The performances will feature the singer strumming her guitar while being accompanied by her band.

Listening to NIKI’s live vocals under the LA night sky would be far from being “Too Much Of A Good Thing.”

“Match My Freak World Tour” (Tinashe)

The countdown is on to see if someone can match Tinashe’s freak.

The R&B artist will bring her “Match My Freak World Tour” to LA’S Greek Theatre on Oct. 17, just a few days after the tour begins in Anaheim on Oct. 14. Tickets start around $41 to see the singer-songwriter and dancer’s headlining performance alongside supporting act Raveena. In past interviews, Tinashe said her style and presentation on stage is influenced by legends such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Sade and Christina Aguilera, and she demonstrated these skills during a performance at the BET Awards earlier this year.

The “Match My Freak World Tour” supports Tinashe’s seventh studio album “Quantum Baby,” which was independently released in August and features the TikTok-viral hit single “Nasty.” The eight-track project arrived a decade after Tinashe’s debut record “Aquarius” and its lead single “2 On” made waves in 2014. Despite label issues over the past several years, Tinashe’s output of music has remained consistent, leading to collaborations with artists such as Britney Spears and KAYTRANADA, as well as her first MTV Video Music Awards nomination this year.

If audiences keep up with Tinashe’s groovy R&B gems, she’s certain to keep them coming back.

“LOOM World Tour” (Imagine Dragons)

Imagine Dragons is bringing the thunder to LA.

The Grammy-winning rock band is returning to the stage with their “LOOM World Tour,” which will play at the Hollywood Bowl for four shows from Oct. 22 to 27. The tour debuts tracks from the band’s June album “LOOM” alongside past hits such as “Believer” and “It’s Time.” With tickets starting around $58, the world tour is set to make a radioactive impact on Imagine Dragons’ legion of fire breathers across the globe.

From lead singer Dan Reynolds’ powerful vocals to their hard-hitting lyrics, Imagine Dragons has dominated the rock sector of the music industry for more than a decade. “LOOM” breathes fresh air into heartbreak anthems, with Reynolds drawing inspiration from the termination of his 10-year relationship. Speaking with NPR’s Danielle Kurtzleben, the artist expanded upon the album’s influences, describing how the tracks come together to create a powerful message of healing – just as a loom weaves wool into a cohesive tapestry. Beyond the electric songs, the group’s concert experience is set to include confetti, laser shows and pyrotechnics, promising a sensational night to remember.

Fans should do whatever it takes to catch one of Imagine Dragons’ shows at the Hollywood Bowl this fall.

“Julien Baker” (Julien Baker)

After a boygenius summer last year, Julien Baker is taking over fall.

The Grammy-winning musician is stopping at The Bellwether from Oct. 25 to 28 as part of her ongoing tour. The tour began Sept. 23 in Chicago, Illinois, and will travel around North America, coming to an end in London, England on Nov. 21. With a rotating setlist where songs are being re-arranged and swapped with others each night, the singer is including songs from all three of her albums such as “Sprained Ankle” and “Turn Out the Lights,” and ticket prices start around $47.

After touring with Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus last year, the boygenius member announced her solo tour on June 18. The Tennessee singer’s discography contains deeply personal songs in which Baker explores a variety of sensitive topics from mental health struggles to addiction. Fans attending the tour can expect some surprises as the musician debuted two new songs, “Middle Children” and “High In The Basement,” after only two dates into the tour.

With such artistic honesty, Julien Baker’s tour is sure to provide the audience with a memorable and emotional experience.
