Class of 2024 Bruins will hear from UCLA alumnus and actor Sean Astin at the UCLA College commencement June 14, the university announced Tuesday. 
Astin graduated from UCLA with honors in 1997 after transferring from Los Angeles Valley College.

The North Westwood Neighborhood Council heard updates from various public officials and discussed issues surrounding transportation and homelessness Wednesday.
The council, which represents Westwood to the Los Angeles City Council, meets on the first Wednesday of every month in UCLA’s Weyburn Terrace.

LA JOLLA – The Daily Bruin received 25 awards at the Associated Collegiate Press Spring National College Media Conference.

Angelenos voted for Los Angeles City Council seats, LA County Board of Supervisors members, the LA District Attorney, LA Superior Court judges and Measure HLA in Tuesday’s primary election.

The Fox Village Theatre in Westwood was bought Wednesday by a coalition of directors led by Jason Reitman, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Reitman is a Canadian filmmaker and producer.
