The celebrated Arizona golf teams did not let their guard down in their home state during the first day at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson at the Arizona National Golf Course.

After a mid-year break that forced the Bruins to sit idle on a No. 1 national ranking, the team has gotten back to proving its stature with an excellent round at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Monday.

Start with minor swing changes and a couple of new putters, add a dose of confidence, sprinkle it with some aggressive putting strokes, and you have the top-ranked women’s golf team in the nation going for its second tournament win of the season.
