Let’s be honest: At this point, not much more needs to be said about the merit of putting a bike lane on Westwood Boulevard through the village.

Up until the 1990s, Westwood Village offered much more in the way of amenities and excitement, but in recent decades the area has seen much less activity and becomes especially quiet during evenings.

The conventional view is that the UCLA campus goes into sleep mode during the summer, and that the weeks of late September bear witness to the rebirth of life on campus.
