Most incoming collegiate tennis players enroll at their schools in the fall. They spend their first quarter or semester adjusting to their new lifestyles while adapting to a different level of competition in individual tournaments.
UCLA women’s tennis has one central goal in mind to start off the season.

“I think the biggest thing I’m hoping for is that everyone stays healthy,” said coach Stella Sampras Webster, going into her 22nd season as UCLA head coach.
UCLA’s men’s tennis came out swinging in the Jack Kramer Collegiate Invitational, but ultimately fell short.
“We didn’t get as many Ws as we may have liked,” said associate head coach Grant Chen.
Jada Hart and Ena Shibahara almost had another national championship.
As teammates in women’s doubles, redshirt freshman Hart and freshman Shibahara suffered a 6-3, 6-4 defeat Sunday to Kentucky in the finals match of the USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships.
