Though alcohol on college campuses has a less-than-positive reputation, a new club is hoping to establish a thoughtful drinking culture at UCLA.
brvino, UCLA’s undergraduate wine club, seeks to educate students on wine history and wine growing – or viticulture – to create a community of like-minded individuals interested in the diversity of the wine industry, according to the club’s official mission statement.
Connecting students with Westwood rental companies, UCLA’s Off-Campus Living Fair provided students with a chance to find the perfect apartment.
The off-campus living fair was held in the Ackerman Grand Ballroom from 11 a.m.

Rujula Vikram, the club‘s founder and president, said she created the Uplift Initiative – which seeks to address information inequities in the college application process – when she was in high school.
The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music started offering a new music industry Bachelor of Arts program this fall.
Robert Fink, an associate dean for academic affairs in the School of Music, said in an emailed statement that the major will consist of many of the same classes as the existing music industry minor, in addition to capstone projects and presentations.
