Spring is a time of turnover for many Bruins, as seniors prepare to graduate and eager-eyed freshmen stream in for admit days. Likewise, the more than 1,400 clubs on UCLA’s campus prepare for their own turnovers in leadership – whether that is in the form of hours of elections, multiple rounds of interviews or extensive applications.
The UCLA Study Abroad program hosted an informational study abroad event Nov. 13 for first-generation students in collaboration with First To Go.
The event, which took place in Tom Bradley International Hall from 6 p.m.
UCLA hosted the annual Enormous Activities Fair on Tuesday to help students learn more about clubs and student life on campus.
Organized by UCLA Student Organizations, Leadership & Engagement, more than 500 student organizations and school departments handed out information and spoke with interested students at booths in Wilson and Dickson Plazas to encourage them to join.

The object that defined Kendra Christian’s academic year was one she barely used.
Christian, a first-year English student, said that although she initially brought a ball of yarn because she planned on knitting in her dorm, she ended up knitting less and socializing more than anticipated this year.
