No. 6 UCLA men’s tennis (6-0) qualified for the ITA Division I National Men’s Team Indoor Championships on Sunday after earning two 4-0 sweeps against UC Davis and Utah State at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend.
No. 6 UCLA men’s tennis (3-0) continued a run of three straight victories, beating Loyola Marymount 5-2 on Tuesday.
Sophomore Evan Zhu won his match in straight sets, beating Loyola Marymount’s Lukas Moenter 6-3, 6-2.
Winter season is coming.
The UCLA men’s tennis team played in their first tournament since ending fall season with freshman Keegan Smith going the farthest in the Sherwood Collegiate Cup, losing to Stanford’s Tom Fawcett 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 in the semifinals.
Three tournaments, two victories.
The UCLA men’s tennis team took home honors in two of the three tournaments it participated in this weekend.
Senior Martin Redlicki lost in the semifinals of the Oracle Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Fall Championships, but junior Maxime Cressy won in the Larry Easley Memorial Classic, and freshman Keegan Smith took the title in the Jack Kramer Fall Invitational.

This week marks the final tournaments of fall before regular season starts in winter. The UCLA men’s tennis team is busy sending players to three different tournaments in three different places.
