The Undergraduate Student Association Council and the Los
Angeles City Council are guilty of theft.
And while it might not be inherently obvious that they have
committed a crime, a quick analogy explains their gross misuse of
power and misappropriation of student and citizen funds.
Westwood has not been a welcoming place these days. In the
Village, business owners are asking for more police protection from
loiterers and potential thieves. On campus, a dead body has been
found, a sexual assault has occurred, and, most recently, two
students in the Saxon Residential Suites were robbed at gunpoint by
two as yet unidentified assailants.
While the government spends all its money looking for innocent
men crossing the border, the true bad guys are sneaking by.
For the last two weeks our government has been scouring the
streets in a desperate attempt to find five Saudi men, who
allegedly entered the country illegally on Christmas day.
Those familiar with my columns may be surprised to hear that I
am angrier and more concerned about the Republicans than the
Democrats.
After all, most rational Americans have come to expect the
conglomerate of special interests’ socialist policies and
moral failings.
The homogenizing of America’s children begins at an early
age in the public school system where everyone is told to color
inside the lines, get in line, shut up, and accept everything the
teacher says “just because.”
Though it is important to set the ground rules for society and
preach the advantages of discipline, anyone who dares to display an
iota of individuality is disciplined.
As election day approaches, I am reminded that the voters are
ultimately responsible for putting the worst of the worst in
office. One of the causes for this is our blind party politics that
cause us to vote with ignorance instead of what we truly
believe.
