A few students on campus have begun to initiate their own
educations, blurring the lines between being a student and being an
educator.
This handful of students is part of a new experimental program
designed to help students start their own courses.

in their chant, “We’re fired up, can’t take it no
more.”
Chicana/o student group MEChA held a rally in front of Kerckhoff
Hall on Wednesday afternoon in the hopes of teaching UCLA students
about the purpose of MEChA, as well as uniting many student groups
with the common cause of equality.

graduate programs are now heard loud and clear by the
administration: The governor’s proposed cuts without adequate
compensation from the university is unacceptable.

and papers can push some students over the edge.

networking capabilities, the pressure to perform may cause students
to look to plagiarism as an option.
Bruin Republicans has challenged the Chicana/o student group
MEChA to a public debate on Friday to address the merit of
MEChA’s founding documents.
Radio talk show host Al Rantel will air the debate on his radio
show if members of MEChA attend, aiming to broadcast the debate to
L.A.
A tentative agreement was reached between grocery workers and
major supermarket chains Thursday that could put an end to the
nearly 20-week-long supermarket strike.
Details about the agreement were not disclosed by
representatives of the United Food and Commercial Workers union.
