As a senior in 1995, All-American forward Ed O’Bannon
helped lead UCLA to its most recent NCAA Men’s Basketball
Championship.
Now, ten years after he last suited up for the Blue and Gold,
O’Bannon is headlining a new group: He will be one of eight
new members inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in a
private ceremony tomorrow.
The UCLA women’s golf team has quite a bit of work to do
if it wants to live up to its preseason No. 1 ranking. Playing in
their first tournament of the year this past weekend at the
Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn., the Bruins shot a
relatively unspectacular 9-over par 885 to finish fourth
overall.
While they didn’t bring home their third consecutive NCAA
West Regional Championship, this year’s Bruins cannot be
faulted for a lack of tenacity.

Bruins tee off at the NCAA West Regionals today, even if the team
itself is completely different.
