As part of his agenda for the 2007 budget, President Bush plans
to bring an influx of math and science professionals into
elementary school classrooms across the country.

Congress passed a sweeping budget bill Wednesday that reduces
federal spending by $39 billion and includes a $11.9 billion cut to
the federal student loan program, the largest cut in the history of
federal financial aid programs.
