Amid a gloomy business atmosphere, movie premieres continue to
shine brightly in Westwood Village.
“The Matrix: Reloaded,” which premiered Wednesday,
follows a long tradition of high-profile Westwood movie
premieres.

An apparent hate crime committed last week at the UCLA Medical
Center did not go unanswered by the surrounding community.

their solidarity and determination to apprehend the perpetrators of

vigil for third-year law student Peter Santos, who passed away
March 15. He was 28.
Elizabeth Cheadle, assistant dean of students for the Law
School, said Santos died of natural causes.

In the face of city authority, one Westwood merchant is taking

Kelly Aladdin, owner of Elysee Bakery and Cafe, started a
petition last month protesting the revocation of outdoor seating
permits for several Westwood restaurants and cafes, including his
own.
