Senior Austin Ramos finished in 17th place at the NCAA Cross Country West Regionals this weekend in Eugene, Ore., leading the No. 21 UCLA men’s team to a seventh-place finish.

It was another big weekend for UCLA cross country runner Austin Ramos.
The senior from Sacramento finished fourth overall and was awarded All-Conference honors this weekend in Corvallis, Ore., at the Pac-10 Cross Country Championships, leading the Bruins to a fourth-place finish.

Amid excellent running conditions and the setting of numerous course records, the men’s and women’s cross country teams did their best to keep pace, earning 8th and 25th-place finishes, respectively, at the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana.

It came down to a photo finish at the Triton Classic in San Diego this weekend, as UCLA senior Henry Hagenbuch edged out Fresno State’s Eric Garcia in the final seconds en route to an impressive victory.
