Picketers protested in front of UCLA’s Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center on Bruin Plaza on Tuesday. Demonstrators with the Union of American Physicians and Doctors were on strike for unfair labor practices in the University of California system.

Around noon on Wednesday, students and other organizers gathered in Bruin Plaza to protest what they call “mass incarceration, police terror and the criminalization of a generation.” Protestors recited “A Pledge of Resistance” for students to take a stand against the criminal justice system, which has, according to the protesters, committed abuses against certain population sectors.
