The likelihood of being taught by a full-time lecturer at UCLA is steadily decreasing.
Economic and enrollment pressures have caused UCLA to replace retiring full-time faculty with part-time faculty, said Robert Cox, manager of the Office of Analysis and Information Management at UCLA.
UCLA is enrolling increasing numbers of international students despite growing competition from universities abroad, according to a recent report from the Institute of International Education.
The report, which came out this week, showed that 8,424 international students attended UCLA in the 2012-2013 academic year – up about 1,700 students from the previous year.
