The other night, two female friends and three male friends came
to visit. Somehow our conversation became not one big six-person
conversation but three separate conversations between guy and girl
pairs.

Right about now is when I start thinking, “Ahhhhh, holiday
season.” Halloween has just passed, Thanksgiving is right
around the corner, and suddenly before you know it, it’s
Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, followed by New Year’s.

Going to a school as diverse as UCLA can sometimes make people
weird. Like they might think, oh well I attend an ethnically
diverse school and therefore by association I have the diversity
thing covered.

Up until this point, I think I have avoided the issue of
religion pretty well. But a funeral I attended last weekend in
memory of a departed couple got me thinking.

As summer continues to chug along and session C gets under way,
I finally feel like I have the authority and right to expound on
the entertainment industry ““ or “the industry,”
as lame people call it.
