Outside Lands 2026: Balu Brigada, JADE, Mariah the Scientist fascinate fans at festival finale

SAN FRANCISCO – Sunday cued Outside Lands’ final encore.
The music festival wrapped its three-day run with performances spanning pop, R&B and rock as Golden Gate Park remained a mini-city in motion. Thousands danced, jumped and sang along amid shifting skies and crowds that stretched across festival grounds. As the sun faded, energy remained high for the festival’s final sets.

Balu Brigada
The New Zealand indie rock band Balu Brigada had one of the largest early crowds of the festival and left no one standing still during its set, with attendees opting to jump to the beat. The brothers – Henry and Pierre Beasley – played tracks such as “Golden Gate Girl” and “Politix” as clipped electric guitars propelled cheers.
The duo wore black sunglasses as they gazed out across Polo Field. They played unreleased track “BedHead” for the first time and covered Grimes’ “Oblivion.” Throughout its set, the band’s groove-centric music mirrored the flow of early 2000s indie sleaze as its genre-blending sound combined crisp pop with dynamic alternative rock guitar features. In baggy trousers, the duo’s casual, slightly unkempt aesthetic mirrored the simplicity of their set, which had “Balu Brigada” across a simple blue background.
The brothers bobbed their heads to the beat of the drums as they strummed their blue and orange electric guitars. With the duo smiling and at times jumping into the air themselves, the 50-minute set left few moments of boredom. Their performance of 2025 track “Backseat” prompted the most energetic reaction of their set as fans propelled into the air once more.
“So, take my picture, my picture, picture / You told me I’m the one you wanted, you really wanted,” the brothers sang.
They forecasted the packed audience that would remain at Lands End stage.

JADE
The former Little Mix star brought high-energy pop to the Lands End stage. JADE blended upbeat dance tracks, synchronized choreography and audience singalongs. The British singer-songwriter performed songs from her solo catalog, including tracks from her 2025 album, “THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!” as she led the crowd through claps and call-and-response moments with the shrieks of fans filling the field.
Dressed in a ruched soccer jersey and mini shorts, JADE moved across the stage, transitioning between sweet vocals and club synths. Fog filled the performance area as she delivered. She led the audience in clapping along to the beat, before asking the crowd to sing part of her songs back to her, crafting duets.
The set featured a medley of songs from her solo career and a nod to her time in Little Mix. “Shout Out to My Ex” inspired a chorus of scream-singing from the audience. Later, JADE performed a newer track with a fast tempo as “BOYS” appeared in large letters on the screens behind her.
JADE continued to engage the audience during the latter half of her set, holding up a silver prop phone and asking the crowd to say hi.
“San Fran, you’ve been insane,” JADE said. “Thank you so much for filling out this area all the way back there. … San Fran, thank you for being the angels of my dreams.”
JADE ended her set with “Angel Of My Dreams,” evoking her farewell to the city.

Mariah the Scientist
The Atlanta singer-songwriter embarked on a sparkle-covered spectacle in one of the final performances of the night. The artist delivered atmospheric R&B, backed by a three-piece band at Twin Peaks stage. She began her set with “United Nations + 1000 Ways to Die,” mixing introspection over a steady drum beat and searing guitar.
Her performance included newer songs from her 2025 album “HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY” and throwbacks including “Beetlejuice” and “Reminders.” Dancers marched across the stage throughout the performance, while projected flames, rain and sparkles accompanied songs.
The audience sang along to “Always n Forever” and grew louder as Mariah the Scientist shifted toward the edge of the stage. Later, when she announced her set was coming to an end, the audience responded with a chorus of cries.
“I appreciate you coming here in the cold with me,” she said. “You owe me a warm night, honey. … I don’t even know if you get that around this town. It’s OK. It’s not over yet. I got two songs left.”
Mariah ended with “Is It a Crime” before dancers crossed the center of the stage as blue waves appeared on the screens behind them. The crowd joined the singer, belting “Burning Blue” as Outside Lands’ final day came to a close.
