UCLA and UConn have only met a total of eight times, but the Huskies hold an overall 7-1 record over the Bruins.
But it was the team’s last meetup where UCLA marked its first win, last season at the Cayman Island Classic.
Junior guard Kiki Rice put up 24 points to lead the squad to the 78-67 win, but UConn star guard, Paige Bueckers, put up a game-high 31.
