Junior guard Gabriela Jaquez doesn’t lead the Bruins in scoring or rebounds. But her do-what-is-needed mentality is all but a difference-maker for coach Cori Close. The team’s de facto figurehead, her performance in March is critical. And she proved that against LSU last Sunday.

Have a read of my column about Jaquez’s stellar Big Ten tournament performance, as her performance in tonight’s do-or-die showdown is imperative to the team’s success. She’ll be guarding UConn’s stalwart Paige Bueckers – the projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
