While weather is expected to decrease fire risk for the rest of the week, next week will likely have more red flag warnings – which indicate critical fire weather, according to a post from the National Weather Service on X.

“While confident that we will NOT see a repeat of last week, dangerous fire weather conditions are expected,” the National Weather Service said in the post.

The UCLA Academic Senate has authorized remote instruction until at least Friday, Chancellor Julio Frenk said in a Saturday campus wide email. As of 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, there are no evacuation warnings or orders covering the UCLA campus.
