Intense winds of up to 80 miles per hour are expected for Monday through Wednesday, said Los Angeles City Councilmember Katy Yaroslavsky in a Sunday evening email to constituents. The winds are likely to make firefighting more difficult and increase the spread of fire, she said.

Humidity levels may also lead to increased fire risk, Yaroslavsky said in the email.

The UCLA campus is not currently under an evacuation order or warning as of 8:55 p.m. Sunday.
