The National Weather Service has designated from 4 a.m. Tuesday until 12 p.m. Wednesday as a “particularly dangerous situation” because of expected high wind speeds, according to a press release from Unified LA – the city’s emergency operations joint information center.
Four evacuation centers remain open for the Palisades fire, including the Westwood Recreation Center, according to the press release. People impacted by the fire can also access support from the Federal Emergency Management Agency at evacuation centers and the Small Business Administration is offering loans, according to the press release.

Residents should wear KN95 while outside – and limit time outdoors – because of poor air quality, Unified LA said in the press release. The air quality on the UCLA campus is currently rated as “good,” according to the UCLA Air Quality website.
UCLA classes will be held remotely until at least Jan. 17, UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk said in a Saturday campus-wide email.
