Evacuees from the Palisades fire can now attend emergency shelters at the Lanark Recreation Center, Stoner Recreation Center, Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks Recreation Center and Westwood Recreation Center, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in a 8:47 p.m. press release.
Bass said there is a curfew in areas under evacuation order from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. She added that the Los Angeles Fire Department is using heavy duty trucks as part of firefighting efforts.
“LAFD continues to make clear: there is no call for volunteer or non-sworn firefighters,” she said in the statement.
