In a Sunday afternoon press conference, Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Anthony Marrone said officials would begin conversations on repopulating areas under evacuation orders and warnings “first thing Thursday.” Marrone said such talks cannot begin until the red flag warning for those areas is no longer in effect.
The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for significant portions of LA and Ventura Counties until 6 p.m. Wednesday. According to a map on the agency’s website, the UCLA campus is not under such a warning as of 3:20 p.m. Sunday.
