Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell said in a press conference that he deployed 200 officers to areas impacted by fires. Twenty people have been arrested for looting in these areas since fires began.

“Looting has zero tolerance,” he said. “Anyone caught looting in affected areas will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
