The USA Elections Board disqualified three candidates from the upcoming Undergraduate Students Association Council elections Wednesday.
The candidates, Maya Wertheim, Mitchell Stevens II and Johanna Vu, were disqualified for failing to submit required documents to the elections board by Tuesday night, according to notices of disqualification issued by the board.
Wertheim, a former Daily Bruin Opinion intern who is running for general representative, was disqualified for failing to submit an expense account form, while Stevens – who is running for Cultural Affairs commissioner – and Vu – who is running for Student Wellness commissioner – failed to submit the expenses form and sources of funding forms, according to the notices.

As the Friday ballot release approaches, Undergraduate Students Association Council candidates have been campaigning through social media and in person on Bruin Walk.
Students will vote on a referendum in the upcoming Undergraduate Students Association Council election that would increase the #UCLAWellness fee to fund campus organizations.
The Resources First Referendum would approve an increase in the #UCLAWellness fee by $4 per quarter.
Students will vote on whether to expand what the Basic Needs Redistribution Center can purchase in an upcoming referendum.
The Good Clothes Good People Basic Needs Referendum, passed in 2020, established a $0.39 quarterly student fee that currently provides funding for the Basic Needs Redistribution Center to purchase school supplies and hygiene products.
