AFSCME Local 3299 strikes for higher wages

Wednesday, AFSCME Local 3299 launched a two day strike against the UC alleging unfair labor practices. The union, which represents patient care, service and skilled craft workers across the UC system is demanding higher wages, and healthcare and housing benefits, among other things.
