Oscar Chen, a third-year electrical engineering student, said while he feels sufficiently accommodated by the new UCLA Dining hours and menu, he is aware of the additional strain the AFSCME Local 3299 strike has put on the remaining dining hall workers. He added that although he does not know about the causes of the strike, he is hoping service will return to normal soon.

“I realized the workers (who are not on strike) worked twice as hard,” he said.
