Workers from the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3299 – which represents patient care, service and skilled craft workers – began their strike at 12:00 a.m. Wednesday. The strike is expected to last until 11:59 p.m. Thursday evening, according to a press release from the union.
Winward was the 2025-2026 editor in chief and sat ex officio on the editorial board. He was previously the 2024-2025 News editor and the 2023-2024 features and student life editor. He was also an Arts, Copy, Online, Photo, PRIME and Sports contributor. Winward was a fourth-year English and statistics and data science student.
