Aryk Mathias, a third-year theater student who participated in picketing, said they believe students should stand in solidarity with the AFSCME Local 3299 union despite temporary work stoppages.

“I hope students can stand in solidarity with our workers,” Mathias said. “Our inconvenience is at a lower cost than their exploitation.”
