Roxanne Hoge, the communications director for the Republican Party of LA County, said Donald Trump’s victory – projected by Fox News – was itself American.
“America loves a comeback,” she said. “They as a country are always willing to give people second chances, and that’s an amazing and a good thing.”
Hoge added that LA GOP is happy about the passage of the state-level Proposition 36, which increases penalties for some drug crimes and theft. She also said the party is celebrating the fact that Nathan Hochman, a former Republican, leads incumbent George Gascón by over 22 percentage points in the race for LA County district attorney.
“No one deserves to live in a lawless society,” Hoge said.
