DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES – At a Continental Club election watch party, Louie Martinez and Rodrigo Hernandez of Los Angeles sipped drinks as their preferred candidate, former President Donald Trump, led in several swing states.

As Harris is projected to underperform with the Hispanic voter base, Hernandez said the media and Democrats treat Hispanic voters as a monolith, oversimplifying their priorities.

“We’re not voting based on our ethnicity,” Martinez said. “We’re voting based off the same needs that anybody else would have: the economy, national security, foreign policy.”
