IOWA – Lenore Kahne, 73, said she felt it was time for a woman to take a seat in the Oval Office. Kamala Harris would be the first female president in United States history should she receive the 270 electoral college votes required to win the election in November.

“(It seems like) every other country in the world has had a woman president, and we haven’t,” said Kahne, a speech pathologist from Syosset, New York.
