Daily Bruin wins award for California’s best college newspaper

The Daily Bruin won the California College Media Association’s award for the state’s best daily college newspaper Saturday.
The award, which The Bruin won for the third straight year, was among the 12 first-place awards The Bruin won at the association’s annual contest.
The Daily Bruin won 24 awards in total, including first place for best news series for “A Paper Trail,” The Bruin’s coverage of undocumented students in California and Georgia. The Daily Bruin also got the first-place award for best newspaper design.
The Daily 49er from Long Beach State won second place for best daily newspaper, while Fresno State’s The Collegian won the award for best website.
