The Undergraduate Students Association Council is the official student government representing the undergraduate student body at UCLA. Council meetings take place every week on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Kerckhoff 417 and are open to all students. Watch a live stream of the meetings on the USAC Live! YouTube channel.
Officer reports
- President Heather Rosen met with Chancellor Gene Block and discussed housing affordability and increasing the funding for teaching assistants as UCLA plans to increase in-state enrollment by 500 students next year.
- External Vice President Zach Helder will travel to Washington, D.C., to meet with members of Congress to discuss the Campus Accountability and Safety Act.
- Helder said he will discuss with legislators about what he believes is a lack of funding to the University of California to adjust for the increase in enrollment.
- Community Service Commissioner Zack Dameron said there will be workshops on food issues, such as food sustainability and security, throughout the week.
- Campus Events Commissioner Lexi Mossler said there will be a free screening of the movie “The Night Before” Thursday night.
