Snail Mail, the indie rock effort of singer-songwriter Lindsey Jordan, performed at the Troubadour on Feb. 26, joined by openers The Umbrellas and Narrow Head. The tour stop was the first of four West Coast headlining dates, following Snail Mail’s full-length “Valentine” tour last spring.
After performing at Weekend 1 of Coachella, New York City-based artist Yaeji brought her blend of house, trip-hop, rock and pop to the Novo in downtown Los Angeles last Thursday night.
On International Women’s Day, attendees gathered outside of Royce Hall to advocate for the rights of women in Iran and to fight for their freedom. The rally was organized by the Iranian Student Group at UCLA and Sigma Pi Beta, UCLA’s Persian fraternity, and it featured several guest speakers.
After their show was postponed for almost two weeks, alternative band Sarah and the Sundays performed at The Echo on Sunday night. The Texas-based band performed songs from their debut studio album, “The Living End,” such as “Take Your Time” and “Vices.”
