Nico Morrone clearly takes his role as financial advocate for students seriously.

Working within a self-described limited budget, Morrone successfully launched a lab coat rental program and managed the distribution of complementary laundry products across the Hill. He’s also made efforts toward many of his other campaign promises.

Unfortunately, effort has proven insufficient in some areas.

Morrone admits he was hoping to have more partnerships with Westwood businesses by now to provide students with discounts. He also regrets that the laundry grant program couldn’t continue into this year and that his office couldn’t provide lab coats to all the students in need.

Despite these setbacks, his commitment to financial transparency still shines.

Having successfully launched the financial expenditure viewer during his previous term, Morrone continued to expand the website’s features and shows genuine passion for keeping students in the loop on USAC’s happenings.

He also values the longevity of his office’s projects. When talking to Morrone, it is obvious he is fighting for future UCLA students alongside current ones.

While some of his projects have failed to yield results, Morrone has made real inroads on institutional transparency and is equipped to finish his second term in office strong.
